I Love This City

Top 5 things to do in Belgrade, Serbia

Visit the old bohemian quarter of Belgrade, Skadarlija

Charming, cobblestone surface, pedestrian zone, with lots of typical Serbian ’inns’ (taverns and restaurants). These taverns were a meeting place for many of the greatest figures of the cultural scene of the late 19th and early 20th century.

Visit Kalemegdan

Park with history museum, open air army museum, astrological observatory, zoo park, numerous coffee shops, bars and clubs, invites people to be active and to spend time in the open air and different ways. The landmark of the city. The view from there is amazing (where the Sava River flows into the Danube).

Visit Ada Ciganlija

Belgrade’s most popular city beach, a great place to relax during hot summer days. It is only 4 km away from the city center. You can enjoy swimming in lake made by Sava river, or water skiing. Ada has various sport playgrounds for volleyball, basketball, football and even golf. Good place for weekend breaks.

Visit the National Theatre (at Francuska 3)

It has very good international productions of ballet or opera performances.

Visit Knez Mihailova

A pedestrian central zone, between Kalemegdan and Terazije. A great place to just take a walk, watch the people of Belgrade pass you by, stop in at one of the cafes for a short black or something a bit stronger, do a little bit of window shopping or even check out one of the boutiques or bookstores that are open until midnight. Very romantic place on a summer.
